Thrift Daisies – Thrifting Clothes for a thriving environment
Initiated by Sanya Chawla and Mehak Goel
Fast fashion is one of the biggest contributors to the global waste problem, and it contributes immensely to global warming through the sheer amount of resources it takes to produce these items. Despite knowing this, it is difficult for many of us to cut down on our consumption of fast fashion due to its affordability and accessibility. However, it’s important for us to do our bit by making sure that we do our best to make sure our clothes don’t end up in a landfill. Instead of simply throwing clothes away or hoarding clothes that we know we will not wear, we can instead find second homes for our clothes.
In most cases, people tend to associate thrift stores with old, unwanted clothing that is no longer in a good wearable condition. However, Thrift Daisies provides you with quality assured, trendy, and sanitized clothes. We pay delicate attention to our style, hygiene, and customers.
Above all, we also provide you with tips and tricks of thrifting and ways to spice up your old clothes. The money that Thrift Daisies will collect after each thrifting, will be donated to well known local charities and orphanages. What better way to contribute back to society than sitting at home and shopping?!
We first thrift amongst interested people in our community who can afford such clothing and donate extra clothing to NGOs that can distribute them to underprivileged communities at their discretion.
