Youth Transformers is a technology platform designed to assist and guide youth interested in bringing about a change in the community through short duration and long duration projects. It provides support to youth via:

  • Providing innovative project ideas for the youth to adopt and execute
  • Providing data and information on previous similar projects
  • Helping users scale up their projects by involving other interested users
  • Helping project leaders market their projects to other students
  • Helping groups communicate and interact with each other
  • Providing recognition to project leaders and participants via e-certificates and
  • Listing top projects in the site’s “Hall of Fame” for future reference and recognising top leaders in community projects regularly

It’s quite simple. Please visit https://youthtransformers.com and click on “Start your own project”. Follow the suggested path, register yourself on the platform through your email ID, and submit your project to the Site Administrator after providing a few details on your proposed project. Once approved, the project shall get showcased on the Site.

Anyone below 18 years of age can participate or create projects on Youth Transformers.

Visit the Youth Transformers page, click on the "Join and participate in existing projects" button on the home page to Volunteer/ Participate in projects. Register using email ID and you are ready to sign up with existing projects.

To see all the upcoming events, click on the "Browse" button on the home page, enter the city and find projects with available participant slots in your city.

You can also manually search projects of your interest and browse for specific projects being run in your city.

Login to your account at Youth Transformers. Go to “My Participation” section under the "Dashboard" button. Just click on the “cancel participation” button for the upcoming projects which you have participated to cancel your participation.

After your project is approved by Youth Transformers Admin team, simply share your project details on the Site with any number of friends and family and school colleagues via a host of sharing platforms such as email, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Yes, by sharing the website link you can invite anyone to sign up and take part in your projects. It is preferred that all joinees into projects be under the age of 18, for you to qualify for our project competitions.

The "Hall of Fame" is an award or recognition for students who have excelled in terms of being unique, creative or thinking out-of-the-box for implementing a particular project of their choice. Selection for the Hall of Fame will be done by our independent jury via an objective assessment of the level of innovation and ground impact in each project.

RISE is India’s first Inter-school competition by Youth Transformers for school students to undertake social and community projects on our site. The inter-school competition shall run for 2 weekends January 24-26 and February 3-5 for school students to start community projects and showcase these on our platform and earn Project leadership and participation certificates and monetary rewards.The schools that come out on top shall also earn trophies and monetary rewards. The winners of the competition – both schools and students - will also earn trophies and awards and get felicitated in the national media and in a concluding ceremony held in New Delhi or Gurgaon.

Youth Transformers is a platform which gives the students an opportunity to give back to the society at a very young age. The certificates provided by Youth Transformers creates a strong foundation for the students for their future growth and can be referred to by students during their college admissions, job interviews and placements.

Yes, for guiding students, we have list of select project ideas mentioned on the "Project ideas" page for students’ reference. These project ideas can be picked “the way they are” or modified by students for innovation or greater impact. Students are also free to pick and choose their own independent ideas for projects as long as the purpose of community or social service is met, and it meets the policies laid down by Youth Transformers on the “Project Instructions” page.

Once a project is complete, the Project Leader marks the project “complete” on Youth Transformers Site and is the ready to issue certificates to the participants. A Project Leader is required to issue certificates to all participants who contributed to the successful execution of the project for him to earn his certificate on the Site. Once a certificate is issued, it will reflect on the participants’ individual dashboards and can be downloaded also for reference purposes.

The project participation certificate will be made available under the “My Participation” section under the “Dashboard” once the project leader has successfully completed the project.

Your Project participation e-certificate will be issued by the Project Leader on the completion of the project. It will be issued by simply clicking the approve e-certificate button by the Project Leader on the platform. You can contact your project leader if there are any delays in issuing the certificate. If there is any further issue, you can email to us at [email protected] with the title E-Certificate Pending.

The project leader certificate will be made available in the “My Projects” section under the “Dashboard” once the project leader has successfully submitted the supporting documents for the project.

We are a youth-oriented website and exclusively focused on encouraging/enabling school students towards community projects. At a later stage, we may increase age limit to 21.

Yes, you can participate in “RISE” as an independent student and you also have the opportunity to get rewarded in the “Most Impactful Projects” categories.

A team of 3 prominent independent jury members shall judge all projects for the competition for determining maximum impact. It will be broadly based on the following criteria:

  • Need on the ground:
  • Creativity and innovation applied; and
  • Measurable impact on the ground

Yes, youth transformers shall appoint an audit team to undertake sample surprise checks of projects during the execution of individual projects.

NOTECAM, is the app for taking the pictures of the project. it will embed the GPS location with the date and time on it.

There is no limit on the number of projects, but the number should look feasible for execution purposes and capable of being executed well. There are no credits for incomplete projects or projects created only on paper and not implemented at all.

As of now, there is no limit on the number of participants in a project, but the number should look feasible for managing purposes.We recommend that a project not have more than 15-20 participants.

The ideal timing for a project is between 8 am and 6 pm. For safety purposes we do NOT recommend projects started or completed after 6 PM.

Yes, we strongly recommend adult supervision for school student led projects as long as these adults are teachers or parents or immediate family of the Project Leaders or participating students. However, for counting purposes for RISE only students shall be counted in participation awards. However, the participation of family and friends can increase the potential impact of a project on the ground.
